General Game Playing

The purpose of this workshop is to give a short introduction into topic of games meant as "strategic interaction between rational decision-makers". Game theory is meant to research and make correct decisions in terms of logic and probability formally modeled environments, called games. A short (~30 min) interactive introduction to the theory can be found here, while a more serious (great) course is available for free on youtube.

We will try to learn Game Theory by studying related field called General Game Playing, which focuses on creating Artificial Intelligence able to play not only one game, but all games representable in a specific rule-based formalization.

The workshop will compose of three parts:

  1. Monte Carlo strategies (1h)
